The Pastor of the Christian Science Church


 The Pastor for Christian Science churches is the King James Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (S&H) by Mary Baker Eddy.This unique format encourages individuals to study the Bible to learn about an all loving God and their spiritual relationship with their Father/Mother. 

Christian Christian Science presents God as The great I AM, the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence (S&H p. 587).

Church Services
Sunday church service includes the Weekly Bible Lesson, consisting of readings from the Pastor, singing of hymns and prayer. 

Wednesday testimony meetings include readings from the Pastor on a specific topic relevant to the needs of the community, singing of hymns, and testimonies of inspiration and healing from those in attendance.

Healing in all forms (physical, emotional, etc.) is expected at each and every service.

Sunday School
Individuals study the Bible and Science & Health to gain a spiritual understanding of God using the 10 Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the Sermon on the Mount as their primary basis for indepth study.  Individuals are encouraged to ask questions and to discuss how they have used the ideas gained each week in their daily live's.  To learn more about Sunday School click here.

Reading Room
Each church joins in the spiritual conversation of the community by offering a reading room and lectures.  The reading room, or bookstore, sells and lends publications developed by the Christian Science Publishing Society and also participates in the community by offering study sessions on various spiritual topics.  Individuals are welcome to visit to find a quiet place to pray, ask questions, study, and purchase  the Bible and other materials provided to nurture their spiritual growth.  Click here to learn more!

The church also supports the spiritual needs of the community by offering one or more lectures throughout the year on a topic pertinent to the needs of the community.  These lectures explain how Christian Science can be applied to challenges in daily life. To learn more about the purpose and its benefits click here.
